Our Team

Nick Balding, originally from New Jersey, moved to North Carolina after graduating from Loyola University. He moved to Wilmington after falling in love with the community after a single visit. Nick received his General Contracting license 10 years ago and has been leading Balding Brothers ever since. His passion for Design/Build projects is extremely evident when you see his custom 3D designs. Nick is very active in the community, currently serving on the Historic Wilmington Foundation Board as well as the WDI board. On the weekends, he enjoys fishing and surfing (preferably on one of his brother’s custom built surf boards).

Catherine Balding loves creating fresh, new spaces and assisting our clients with the selections process. Catherine worked in the marketing field for five years before earning her MBA from UNCW. She spends half of her time in the office on bookkeeping and marketing and the other half meeting with clients, subcontractors and vendors. Like Nick, Catherine loves running Balding Brothers and feels truly fortunate for our wonderful clients and colleagues. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, learning about new music and reading remodeling magazines while sipping lattes.
