Historic Renovation with Modern Conveniences
This beautiful historic home was originally built in 1830 and is a contributing structure in a Nationally Registered Historic District. A whole house remodel in essence, the purpose of the project was to create a more logical floor plan with modern conveniences while keeping the historical character of the residence intact.
Prior to the remodel, the home’s only full bath was on the first floor. With the home’s two main bedrooms on the second floor, we set out to re-design the layout to include a full bath on the second floor to service the bedrooms. We also redesigned the floor plan on the main level to return space to the original study, create a half bath and completely remodel the existing kitchen with custom cabinets and butcher block countertops.
